Eyes on Him

“…But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with the waves: for the wind was contrary.

And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.

And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.

But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I, be not afraid.

And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.

And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.

But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?” Matthew 14:24-31

What do we see about the wind? It was contrary and boisterous. Do your present circumstances seem contrary to your plans? What else do we know about wind? It is something you can feel. Do you feel a lot of emotions (or lack of) and heartache due to those circumstances?  Are they loud and boisterous, and seem to be all you can think about right now?

Be encouraged that in the midst of all the wind in your life right now, Jesus is speaking. Listen to His voice. “Be of good cheer; it is I, be not afraid.” He works ALL things together for GOOD to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. (Rom. 8:28) ALL things. He is here. He is in control of the wind. He is working. Don’t be afraid!

Let’s take our eyes off of the wind and place them on Jesus. He gives peace to those who keep their mind stayed on Him, because they trust in Him. (Is. 26:3)

All Under One Roof for a Weekend!

This weekend was half celebration and half good-byes. Smiles and tears.
Our WHOLE family was together for the twins’ birthday so we made the most of it and went swimming, shot skeet, played games, sibling talks and held little Evan!
The good-byes were because Hannah, Dustin and Evan are moving back to MN temporarily. Kind of a test move for them, but they are planning on coming back the beginning of December sometime. We are excited for them…but at the same time it’s so hard to see them leave.
So here’s lots of pictures from our time together. We had so much fun =)

Our group picture kept getting bigger! =)

Caleb ran the slinger for us and would shoot the clay pigeons we missed! He’s just that good!

For 7min. Maggie is older than Carinna and LOVES to rub it in! Just because she can.

Part of the swimming group.

Lots of nephew, son, grandson and great-grandson lovin!! He’s a sweet, cuddly, smiley baby.

We had a great conversation!

Make memories. Family is a treasure.

“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Rom 8:38-39
