Mr. Ferraro gave a charge to John-Clay – But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called. Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit ye like men, be strong. And wield the shield of faith and the sword of the spirit with the honor due the princess you are about to receive and the King whom ye serve. And may He say unto you one day, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.”

Once everyone got to the Church, there was a whole lot of make up, curling irons, bobby pins, last minute ironing…etc.

J-C and Sarah decided to wait till the ceremony to see each other…

…and because the guys were just down the hall getting ready there was always a bunch of guarding the halls and doors making sure they didn’t see
each other  :)

Pre-Wedding Pictures

Sep
01

Benjamin and I (Carinna) rode up with J-C to IL the Monday before the wedding,
and helped out with some of the crazy prep work!

It was an interesting trip! J-C and Sarah hadn’t been together in 8 weeks…sooooo,
J-C was just “slightly” excited the last hour and a half.

We did a bunch of the random stuff that goes along with these kind of events. ; )

Making signs, cooking bacon and tying bows for the pews…to name a few.

The flowers arrived on Wednesday so we took care of them…cutting the ends, watering…etc.

We also worked on a surprise for J-C and Sarah. But more on that later.

Benjamin did a lot of yard work and stuff. He had a great time with the little guys!

A couple days were spent finishing up and decorating at the reception location which was a sale barn.

This is looking from the back toward the front where the head table was.

We hung the curtain backdrop behind the head table…with lights and tulle.
It looked really good!IMG_2299

Fun times with good friends.
IMG_2325IMG_2329IMG_2326IMG_2330

The guys did a good job of hanging all the paper lanterns, and the decorated ladders.

Looking into the back room.

The front room.

Here is a close up of one of the centerpieces.
The water was purple…And the flowers were the leftovers from the wedding.

On Thursday the rest of the family made the trip up.

Once they arrived, some more last minute things got done that night and Friday…

…like bridesmaid’s dresses hemmed and sashes added.

Bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages were made.

There were lots of flowers! One of the Ferraro’s friends came and
helped show us how to put them together. : ) That was a big help!

The bouquets all laid out.                        Trimming them up.

Soon to be sister-in-laws!

Aren’t they beautiful?!

Abbie and Joel jammed it up countless times on their ukuleles.

Friday night was rehearsal…

The soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. John-Clay Burnett!

Rehearsing away…

Some of us kept having this realization…our brother is…the GROOM!

Charity, Maggie, and I slipped out early and finished preparing the dinner.
Mom did an amazing job putting it together.

The tables all ready for hungry people!

Dishing it up!

We were very blessed by the Fagala’s willingness to jump in and help!

Anna and Charity

The people who are responsible for all this. ; )

One of the lively tables.

The Ferraro’s uncle told a revised version of Cinderella called “Rindercella”
Boy howdy, he had everyone laughing. It was a nice stress reliever!

Then we watched “Food is Love”.
A movie/skit the Ferraros came up with about the story of
J-C and Sarah’s relationship.

J-C and Sarah hadn’t seen or heard any of it…
It was HILIARIOUS…a huge hit, and definitely another stress reliever.

And this little cutie definitely never lacked for attention!

Maggie’s artistic creation. ; )

We had a grand time, Ferraros! Thanks for everything!
And we’re looking forward to when ya’ll come down in a couple weeks!

Pictures of the wedding coming soon!
