It’s a little bit easier to sit out in the woods all day if you have a
beautiful rustic view!20161125_154817

The look the neighbor’s cows give you when you’re walking to your stand.  : )
“Are you from a different planet?”

Wide open skies.

But even better than beautiful scenery is when you get to bring home some meat.
Benjamin got a doe and buck. Dad shot a buck. 20161123_081600

Carinna shot a hog that we didn’t butcher, and a small buck that was limping.

These three went looking for a hog Maggie had shot at when it was getting dark.
They didn’t find it. Each year more and more hogs are coming around.

A whole lot of team work goes into the process of field to freezer!

Carinna saw a buck on the side of the road on the way to work one morning.
It was below freezing, so she got permission from the game warden and we were able to salvage some of the meat off of him. It was a new experience for the Fenns. Homeschooling at its finest. : )

We are so thankful to get the opportunity to hunt on Grandpa’s land.
And for a full freezer this year!

“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:
and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air,
and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing
that creepeth upon the earth.” Genesis 1:26
