Dec

These are some of the last things from our fall garden before we finally had a freeze on November 18th.20161118_172935_thumb2

Maggie is thoroughly enjoying studying to be an EMT.

Most of us have been assessed more than once in the past month. The assessments are getting more fun though…the first time she told us what we could do.(boring)
Now we get to make up our own ailments! : ) (Poor Maggie)20161111_195130

Evan tagged along to work on sighting in a rifle. He was super excited
to get to ride on the tractor!

November is “picking up pecans” season for Grandpa!

I got to have a camp-over with my girls one night. They were a great help checking
on the bees and winterizing them. Then we got to sleep out in the camper.

We had hot chocolate, colored adult coloring pages, laughed, talked, talked,
talked, and made memories. It was a whole lot of fun!

We are always grateful to hangout with these 3 little guys. We babysat Evan and Ransom for a week when all the couples went to a marriage conference.

Maggie was thrilled and honored to be a bridesmaid in a good friends wedding!
It is definitely a strange feeling to have your friends getting married…
…I mean, we aren’t that old, are we?

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and feel like Christmas…
it’s supposed to be 10°F with a 35mph N wind this weekend! That’s just plain cold.

Labor Day…

Sep
13

Did you know the first Labor Day holiday was
celebrated on Tuesday, September 5, 1882, in New York City?
Well, 134 years later, we celebrated it again.

Getting in some SMASHING games of Catch Phrase. SmileIMG_1476

Psalm 128:2  “For thou shalt eat the labor of thine hands:
happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.”

We didn’t grow this watermelon, but someone worked for the money that bought it!

Almost everyone got in on some bean bag tossing.

Awww! Such sweet sisters! (until they’re playing a game against each other Smile)

Charity and BenjaminIMG_1509IMG_1538

Like I said, we’re all sweet…until we’re playing a game.

Dad is extra thankful this year, because he has a job again!
He just started working as a chaplain at a nearby hospital! God is so GOOD!
He does things in His own PERFECT timing.

How blessed we are to be able to get out of bed each day!
Blessed to breathe, have energy, and purpose to live!
That gives us reason to smile while in the middle of any job!

Colossians 3:23
“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;”

Maggie – She has a fun personality, one that makes friends easily, loves adventure, and trying new things…especially odd things like seafood! She is a good friend, caring, happy, and an energy giver. She enjoys photography and has acquired several jobs with that. She is artistic and would be great at doing illustrations for children’s books! She currently works part-time at a daycare and will be going through EMT training this next year.

Carinna – She is good at most everything she does and does everything with excellence. She is loyal, determined, creative, and wise. She is very artistic and loves working with her hands and trying new projects that most people would hire out to get done. She has a love for dog training, it’s really fun to watch her work with our dog, Heidi! She is Dad’s right hand in our bee business. She currently has job tutoring for a homeschooling family. She loves teaching and watching others grow and learn new things!
